Natura-Z Blocks: Strength and Translucency

Natura-Z blocks have a maximized strength and translucency due to multiple factors: small particle size, even/uniform characteristics, and high density of the material. Also, the durability of the product is so intense, that when orally inserted, the minimum decrease in the strength/durability of the prosthetics will ensure a longer-than-average life-span of a Zirconia Restoration.

Precision

Natura-Z Bocks are fabricated using a Base Powder, whose small particle size is around 200-250 nm, which has an even/uniform particle structures. The strength/solidity of Natura-Z block is consistent in preciseness and quality by moulding the blocks using both of the two existing pressing techniques; High-Capacity Pressing, and CIP (Cold Isostatic Pressing). Natura-Z Blocks guarantee both precise Density, and the Shrinkage Factor.
The particle size and density of the material is critical to its strength and translucency. On the SEM Photograph after sintering; the consistency in density and particle size can be witnessed, of which it retained around 200-300nm.

Durability

In order to maximize the safety of the dental prosthetics, a Low Temperature Degradation Evaluation is an important criteria for all Zirconia Prosthetics that will require an oral insertion for an extended period of time.
The standard ISO 13356 Test Evaluation Method was used for the evaluation of Natura-Z block, which revealed a remarkably low strength decrease of around 9% decrease, compared to a standard average of 20% decrease of strength on a regular Zirconia blocks in the market, thus, Chang’s blocks show a much better result in terms of consistency.
Also, the monoclinic Phase varied depending on the blocks’ unique sintering temperatures (10.5 % and 13.9 %), all within the 25% range of the ISO 13356 Standards.
